Using combinations of geometric and organic shapes, I create imaginary landscapes. Overlapping layers of a variety of mixed media creates depth and mystery as I intertwine the patterns to create more complexity and visual interest. The textural blending of intersecting layers of collage paper, acrylic paint and ink allows me to create curiously familiar imaginary places. These fantasy landscapes often seem recognizable but upon closer inspection there are twists and turns that change these places into realms of the imagination.
